Stray Souls

So apparently a novel is being published soon.

I mean, of course one is – many are, the world turns, people scribble, and so on but anyway, the point is…

… apparently one of my novels is being published soon.  According to amazon it’s October 25th, and having no information which either confirms or denies this, and with amazon being pretty reliable in this regard I’m gonna go out on a limb and say yeah, that’s when it’s happening.  Fact.

So.  I guess at this point I should tell you how amazing the book is.  I mean, let’s face it, that’s what I’m here for and every author firmly knows and believes that everything they’ve ever written ever is the greatest thing of all time, (Shakespeare, eat my shorts etc.) and I guess there’s not much point my telling you that it’s being published unless I also explain that it’s a rip-roaring adventure of lost souls, angry wendigos, obsessive-compulsive vampires, allergic druids and confused shamans… all of which is actually is… but um.  Yes.  I’m not actually that good and blowing my own trumpet much beyond details of plot.  Except to say that I really enjoyed writing it.  And it’s set in London, in the world of urban magic, and includes helpful hints on how to manage morphic instability during times of stress, what to do when the blood banks are running low and why you should never, ever separate an angry goddess from her pet puppy.

So yes.

And I’m a little bit excited.

P.S.  And still according to amazon, the US is out on October 30th!  So for once, the US isn’t having to wait!  (At least, not wait more than 5 days.)  I consider this a mild victory for globalisation of its sort…
